When Vicki and I (see a previous post where I wrote about Vicki) were around 13 or 14 we both went on a trip to FL with my parents to visit our grandparents. I think it was while we were there that we each bought a ponytail. Not a real pony's tail, but an artificial hair ponytail you could pin in your own hair! They weren't very expensive or we wouldn't have been able to buy them. So we tried to match the color of our own hair (brown) with one of the colors the ponytails came in.  We figured we'd picked the closest one, didn't match perfectly but looking through our eyes they looked beautiful on us. The trouble was they were blonde. Yeah, blonde. To this day I don't know what lenses or filters we were looking through to think they even slightly matched our hair. But we felt very dramatic and beautiful with such long hair lol!  We even took pictures of each other wearing them! I do believe I still have those pictures stuffed away in some bin, and if I can find them maybe I'll post it on here for you to see. I have to say that my parents and our grandparents did a good job of not laughing at us. Though I think I remember a slight smile or two.
