Nina

‹ Life sketch from watching live video streaming on internet. | Main | Yes, a new post! ›

I used a photo I'd taken of Nina to incorporate into Painter, turn on tracing paper, pick up the underlying colors, move them around some, and then turn off tracing paper to look at the photo I had beside the one I was working on. Then I started painting on top of what I had, putting in different colors than the underlying ones, trying to bring out highlights with colors, and using different kinds of brushstrokes. Basically, just experimenting again. And then I went back and used tracing paper to pick out parts of the zipper to give that a bit of photographic realness along with the painting. I like to see how to combine those to ways, to see how I can creatively use those techniques together, hopefully sometime then using them to do a collage painting.
